Is there anything better than coming home to dinner being ready to eat, even if everyone was busy all day? These incredibly easy chicken tacos make supper a snap, and all you need to do is drop the ingredients in your slow cooker and let supper make itself.

For the Taco Filling:
1 – 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (try Pine View Farms All Natural Meats)
1 cup Chicken broth (get pre-made Pine View Farms chicken bone broth here)
3  tablespoons of taco seasoning mix (try Splendor Gardens Organic)

For Toppings (these are all optional, just throw in what you like):
Cut or shredded lettuce (we like romaine from Floating Gardens)
Diced fresh tomatoes
Sliced cucumber
Grated cheddar or peppercorn cheese

Plus taco shells or tortillas for wrapping it all up

Directions
Thaw chicken breasts. Lightly oil the inside of your slow cooker for easier clean-up. Stir the taco seasoning mix into the chicken broth. Place chicken in the pot and pour the seasoned broth over it; cover and cook on low 6 – 8 hours. When done, remove chicken and shred, then stir back into the sauce in the pot.

Get home, rinse and cut veggies and grate the cheese. Serve up delicious chicken tacos! Goes great with Trogi Foods Original Salsa or for those who love cilantro flavour (we know, there are those who don’t!) try Tropezon Salsa Verde for dipping and topping.

This recipe is easily doubled or tripled, so it’s only limited by the size of your crock pot. You can freeze the leftovers – if you have any. Bon appetit!
